I love brush turkeys

Today in the morning I observed the local brush turkey hunting a dog. The dog was a medium sized and hanging out with its owner not paying much attention to the turkey. The turkey would go up, within 2m of the dog and scratch dirt at its direction. Was it saying: I'm gunna bury you, man!

The dog would occasionally get fed up and chase the turkey with a snap. Then the owner was leaving and the dog was running off after him, and the turkey gave chase, stopping here and there to do more scratching before going off at a trot again.

Territorial!

It was peculiar because usually you go anywhere near them and they run off with their head down. But apparently the dog was about the right size for a gladiatorial match.
